AGAPE LERATO COMMUNITY SERVICES

About Us

PREAMBLE

Agape is a Greek word referring to "GOD'S KIND OF LOVE"
The organization will endeavor to serve and address the socio-economic and health needs of South-Africans and human race without any discrimination.


The organization was founded in January of the year 2007 by Prophet Tlou Masekameng. Based in Sicelo community in Meyerton, the ogarnization has grown and the services rendered have spread through the whole Midvaal local municipality and Sedibeng district municipality working together with other stake holders.

Vision

Established and viable organ that links communities with government and private sector for optimal living standards.

Mission

The organization shall be committed to identify and address the socio-economic and health needs of South Africans and human race in partnership with government, private sector and other stake holders.
The organization shall advocate for the plight of orphans and vulnerable children according to the children Act and for people living with HIV/AIDS.

 

The People We Serve

The Midvaal Local Municipality has an estimated population of 83 443 people, which constitutes approximately 8% of the Sedibeng District population and 0.7% of the Gauteng population. The 83 443 people represent an estimated 31 102 households of which, approximately 4 172 families reside in informal structures. The average annual population growth since 1996 has been around 4.27%.

Sicelo Community

Agape has been playing its role in local communities since its establishment, with most of our staff staying in Sicelo, a walking distance to Agape. Both the youth and adults are given a platform/a chance to take part in developing their communities.
